One of a kind floor length bandage dress made for a show of wearable art at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Three silver coiled rattlesnakes sit at the right hip. The bodice is hand-stitched into gathers and gentle ruffles. The full skirt may be worn with a crinoline for added volume. Closes with zipper and snaps down the center back. Made from 100% Indian cotton voile fabric. The fabric is torn in strips, cut into pieces and assembled into round “rosettes” using a particular assembly pattern. The rosettes are hand-draped on the dress form to create the gown.
